Our Board Members are very excited about all of the learning opportunities and events in progress for 2012!  Our Program Director, Siouxrita Clarke, CPP, has many great speakers already booked to educate us on various topics.  We’ll kick off the February Chapter Meeting with some good food and a speaker from Paycom who will walk us through “HR & Payroll Efficiencies”.  Phil Black, who received rave reviews last year, is coming back to talk to us about “How Our Thinking Can Determine Our Success”.  Other great speakers will be presenting topics such as “Outsourcing verses In-house payroll”, Pre-retirement and the Labor Commissioner will be here later in the year.  Our website will be updated with details as soon as information becomes available.

Once again Alicia Orozco, CPP, Membership Director,  Bonnie Tiefenbach, CPP, Treasurer and Pat Lerma, VP and Secretary will be offering their popular and successful CPP Study Group and Boot Camp this year.  The 2011 success rate for passing the CPP exam was 66%!  

Have you thought about volunteering for the Chapter?  The success of our Chapter depends on the people that help organize educational, charitable and social events.   How about volunteering for the 2012 Election Committee or serving on the Board of Directors?   The President and the Treasurer Offices are up for election in 2012.  Serving on a committee or the Board of Directors is a great opportunity to expand your professional skills and receive recognition from your company and our Chapter.

Sonya Mendoza, CPP, Special Events Commitee Leader, will be working on social and charitable events for 2012.  She did an awesome job organizing our 2011 Christmas dinner.  Also, with extraordinary effort from Chapter members, Karen Boll and Terri Fuller, CPP, she organized the hghly successful AnySoldier.com project..
